Did you know that May is Information Awareness Month (IAM)?
“IAM is a collaborative event between various widely respected bodies within the records, archives, library and information management communities and is intended to increase awareness of the information industry through a series of events. By connecting information and people the aim is to demonstrate the importance of properly maintaining good records and information as it relates to everyone; from global Corporations through to small business and even the homemaker.”
Did you know that Text Works can set a limit to the number of people allowed to open any textbase at one time? When you work on a network, this feature could be useful if you need to limit access to any one textbase for editing reasons.
The first Inmagic Museum User Group meeting for 2012 was hosted by Puffing Billy Archives. Members were treated to a lunchtime train trip between Belgrave and Emerald Park Lake. It was a sunny Melbourne autumn day with wonderful views from the train windows and lots of DB/Text Works conversations over a light lunch. Volunteers from Puffing Billy Archives provided a commentary on the train’s history and highlights of the countryside.
